Spec Sheets

Please read through the entirety of your specific project’s specs before beginning exports.

Film & Television

1. A Quicktime export.

  • 1280x720 H.264 .mov file, including stereo guide track

  • Timecode matching the project frame rate must be burnt into the video.

  • There should be an 8-second leader at the head of the picture, with the video file starting at 00:59:52:00, 2-Pop at 00:59:58:00, making the FFOA at 01:00:00:00. There should also be a Visible/Audible Tail pop 2 seconds after the LFOA.

  • Please add a date or version number in the title that matches the OMF.

2. An OMF/AAF export.

  • Must include all mic channels, on separate tracks, but together in sync (Boom, Lav, etc).

  • File format matches what was recorded on set (usually 48kHz, 24-bit, .wav files).

  • “Separate audio” is preferred over “encapsulated” or “embedded” or “consolidated".

  • If you must embed or encapsulate, provide at least 10 second handles.

  • Please add a date or version number in the title that matches the video.

3. All original recordings.

  • All recordings from the set. Must be organized and labelled either by shooting date or by scene. Include any/all recordings from pick up shoot dates.

4. All available sound reports for original recordings, if any.

  • PDF, Excel, or hard copy formats preferred.

5. Specifications as to how the film was shot.

  • Format, camera, frame rate, resolution, etc.

6. List of director’s or editor’s dialogue notes, if any.

7. Most up-to-date lined script, if any.

8. List of character names and the actors who play these roles.

9. Delivery of materials.

  • Google drive, USB Drive, or WeTransfer are acceptable.


Podcast

1. An OMF/AAF export or unedited audio files.

  • File format matches what was recorded (usually 44.1kHz, 16-bit, .wav files).

  • If exporting an OMF/AAF, “separate audio” is preferred over “encapsulated” or “embedded” or “consolidated".

  • If you must embed or encapsulate, provide at least 10 second handles.

2. Separate tracks for each mic.

  • Each individual’s microphone on their own track.

  • If you’ve added effects to a voice (reverb, robot voice, etc.) please include an unaffected version as well.

3. List of character names and the actors who play these roles.

4. A copy of the script, if available.

5. Delivery of materials.

  • Google drive, USB Drive, or WeTransfer are acceptable.
